Closer look

Before we get to the physical aspects of the SNA-95, lets state a few facts first. The general characteristic of universal laptop adapters support the voltage range of 100-240V for usage around the world. This is carried over to the SNA-95 as well. So, if you travel overseas, all you would need is a converter plug for the electrical socket in that country or region. The SNA-95 can provide 95 watts of continuous power so in order to see if your laptop would be supported take the your laptop voltage requirement and multiple it by the volts and get your total wattage.

The main part of the SNA-95 is the power brick and it is pretty small and thin. It is half as thick as the Antec model I am currently using, but the top flat surface area is slightly bigger. On the top of the unit is the Coolermaster logo along with a small light power indicator. Traveling along the edges of the brick is an USB port for charging things like cell phones, MP3 players and other smaller 5v devices that can be charged via the USB port. There is also the connector for the power cable from the brick to the wall which had a figure-8.

The power brick sits atop a short platform that keeps the brick off the floor or carpet. Another purpose for the platform is to allow the user to wrap any excessive cabling around it, eliminating any possible trip hazards.

Last, we have the nine power tips for connecting to random devices. From the looks of it, all the popular ends are present, except for one that some older Dells. These have three holes that connect to the laptop. The tips easily plug into the end of the cable that is permanently attached to the power brick. The ends have a small flat edge to make sure you the contacts match up. Speaking of Dells, according to Coolermaster, the SNA-95 will power a Dell laptop with ease, but will not charge one as the laptop can tell if the adapter is a genuine Dell adapter.
