Warner Bros. will exchange DVDs for Blu-ray movies

Warner  Home Video this week announced the launch of a new offer in which customers can trade their DVDs in in exchange for Blu-ray discs, giving customers the option to "jump start" their Blu-ray collection and enjoy all the features Blu-ray has to offer.

Under terms of the deal, customers can log on to the Web site, select the movies they want, and then send in their DVDs (minus the case) to the processing center. Warner then sends Blu-ray discs of the same movies.

Warner, and other studios, made similar offers for former HD DVD owners in the days after the end of the format war.
