Intel raises its revenue expectation for Q3

The sun is shining on Intel's street this quarter as the chip giant has announced that it is raising the Q3 revenue forecast from the initial $8.5 billion (plus/minus $400 million) to a nice and round $9 billion (plus/minus $200 million). The company said that this adjustment has been based based on better than expected demand for both processor and chipsets.

Intel also expects the Q3 gross margin percentage to be the upper half of the previous range of 53%, plus or minus two percentage points. The company's Q3 results are scheduled to be revealed on October 13. Tech Connect
