Jetway's new Ecomo netbook

Jetway, one of the leading manufacturer of motherboards is about to release their first netbook, Ecomo.  The Ecomo is a 2.4 pound slim mini-laptop that comes in a glossy white or a shiny black casing. The Ecomo comes with a 3-cell battery standard which will power the Ecomo for up to three hours but an optional 6-cell battery is available for up to six hours of use.


The Ecomo is built around the Intel Atom N280 (1.66GHz) processor and the Intel 945GSE chipset with GMA950 graphics. Equipped with a 10.1 inch screen the Ecomo is one of the thinnest netbook on the market at one inch. You are not without wireless connections as the Ecomo is fitted with Wi-Fi (B/G), HSPA/3G and Bluetooth 2.0 to aid in the flexibility of communicating with other Bluetooth devices.


There are a few options that make the Ecomo stand out from other netbooks on the market. The Ecomo has a large 84 key keyboard support aluminum support, 1.3 mega pixel webcam, touchpad lock and with the press of a button your audio experience is enhanced through the two built-in speakers.


Additional for storage the Ecomo furnished with a 160GB SATA hard drive loaded with Microsoft Windows XP and a digital card reader that reads  multimedia (MMC), secure digital (SD) and memory sticks (MS). The unit comes shipped with 1GB of DDR2 533MHz PC4200.

The Ecomo promises to be a worthwhile competitor to all the other netbooks on the market as it offers some very unique features.
