Bombing France with Snoopy: next best thing to Crimson Skies


You'll be flying missions around the Sphinx, which now looks like a giant beagle, and you'll have to rescue your little yellow Woodstock-style friends from an ice cave and other locations. You'll have to shoot down a giant zeppelin that turns a brilliant and shiny metallic color when it turns on its force field. This is an alternate version of World War I that includes things like blimps that belch out enemy planes and protect themselves with force fields. Everyone knows about the amazing flying beagle, and they all want to shoot him down.

The flight controls are straight out of the arcade, with wide sweeping turns and a d-pad that allows you to roll out of the way of your opponent's weapons or loop the loop to get behind another plane. You can speed up momentarily, or slow down. You can perform an Immelman to turn around rapidly. The environments give you plenty of nooks and crannies to fly around and through, and the gunfights are oddly intense for such a cute game.
