Very informative SSD editoral @ [H]ard|OCP on Sync vs Async NAND Performance

With the market for SSD drives heating up with many of us considering the purchase of one, and being one of those people I know what you're going through! Cost naturally being the first consideration since we've all got a budget to work with, but the performance weighs deeply as well, otherwise you likely wouldn't be looking into a SSD to begin with. We are aware of the different cell configurations available of Single-level Cell (SLC) and Multi-level Cell (MLC), and the performance difference between them, but something overlooked is still out there. [H]ard|OCP saw this and stepped up, providing a very informative editorial on the subject of what the performance difference is between drives employing Synchronous NAND (flash) and those with Asynchronous. Manufacturer SSD drive specs don't always outline this or which is used, at least not in plain sight, so this might be a very informative read for a lot of you; I found it as such. Check it out!
