Default Seems Asus is letting it out about the GTX 580

"The spec doesnít get me all that worked up. The 772MHz core, and 4,008MHz memory clock combined with 1,536MB of GDDR5 makes this more of a GF100 upgrade than anything else.

Oh, one more thing. And this does get me worked up, or more accurately, annoyed. That number, 4,799, thatís •4,799CNY, which according to my calculator works out at around $720! That is a lot of dough! Even at $599 this card is going to face serious competition from AMDís 6800-series cards."

yeah, the spec numbers are underwhelming to say the least, but it looks like benchmarks are showing it to be faster, though not a "next generation" faster.
