Restoring a Windows XP System When the DLL File is Missing

First, we'd better get a general idea of DLL file, let's see what DLL file is. Dynamic-link library (also written without the hyphen), or DLL, is Microsoft's implementation of the shared library concept in the Microsoft Windows and OS/2 operating systems. These libraries usually have the file extension DLL, OCX (for libraries containing ActiveX controls), or DRV (for legacy system drivers). The file formats for DLLs are the same as for Windows EXE files — that is, Portable Executable (PE) for 32-bit and 64-bit Windows, and New Executable (NE) for 16-bit Windows. As with EXEs, DLLs can contain code, data, and resources, in any combination.
Consider a scenario wherein your Windows XP system is unable to start when you switch it on. An error message is displayed, that is:
"Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt.
Windows rootsystem32hal.dll. Please re-install a copy of the above file."
what to do when you encounter such a problem? The partition of the system drive is corrupt and, thus, inaccessible.
Having known the importance of DLL file, we understand that once a DLL file is lost or deleted or even corrupted, you will be unable to run the system or unable to execute some programs. The solution for that is to get back the lost DLL file, and thus a third party recovery program is needed. As mentioned above, the partition of the system drive is corrupt, so you need a recovery tool which can recover Windows partition. Such tools are read-only in nature that do not overwrite the storage media while scanning it.
wGXe Data Recovery is Windows recovery software that is able to recover partition from both FAT and NTFS file systems. It is able to recover more different file types from various storage media such as hard drives, memory cards, etc. In addition, this recovery tool is capable of recovering deleted emails from MS Outlook and Outlook Express. It is compatible with Windows 7, Vista, Server 2003, XP, and 2000.
