Closer look at the outside of the PC-A71F

Lian Li is known for making duplicates of their cases to satisfy the individuals that like them with doors or without them. When it comes to the PC-A71F, you are greeted by a sleek no thrill front door. If you are looking for a case with the same identical footprint, then you will want to opt for the PC-A70F. With the door closed you see that the tower looks like one big piece of aluminum. Very few lines and folds to throw you off from the overall grace of the unit. Only the Lian Li name appears on the door.

Opening the door, you are greeted by five 5.25" bays with one of them containing a 3.5" adapter. The drive bays covers are of solid pieces, making for great stealth doors for optical drives. This is a mod that we have seen a lot of with Lian Li case. Usually the first mod done when it comes to modding these cases. To the right we have the power and reset buttons. Below the drive bays are two fan covers hiding two 140mm case fans.

The PC-A71F does not come with any windowed side panel; but there are optional pieces, if you are looking for this feature. By default, the unit has no windows. There are also no openings for mounting any type of cooling fan. This maybe something many will not like, but it definitely compliments the simplistic look of the case. Near the front of the side are small openings for air ventilation.

The top is just as simplistic, but behind a small door is all the input ports that one would need. One eSATA, four USB and one firewire port is what you are given. Audio connections are also present.

If there is any excitement with the exterior of the PC-A71F, it lay in the rear of it. Not an option but a standard with larger Lian Li cases is the dual power supply locations. Out of the box a case fan occupies the top location. The fan can be r-routed to the bottom, if need be while placing the PSU at the top. Water-cooling and Lian Li are synonymous with one another, so you will always find the water inlets on the rear of the case.
