Introduction to the CM Storm Sirus 5.1 Stereo Headset

If you look back over the past year or so, you will arguably have to agree that headsets are the largest growing trend in computers. We are seeing a host of companies develop eSport alter egos as a way to push out these gaming headsets that everyone is buying up like crazy. A couple of my partners have reviewed models from Arctic Sound and we have others that are in route for our reviewing pleasure.

But when we heard that Cooler Master was bring to market their own gaming head phones we had to fight around the lab to see who would get to review them. Well, the boss won.

CM Storm showed off to a select few at CES in Las Vegas this past year, the Sirus 5.1 Surround Sound headset. CM is not only targeting the gaming enthusiast but the true audiophile. Consisting of front, rear, center and a sub the Sirus promises to make a splash in the audio category. But what makes the Sirus stand out besides its clear and precise sound but the Tactical Mixing Console. The Console allows the user the ability adjust the speakers and the sub individually.

Cooler Master CM Storm take on the Sirus

Built for gaming enthusiasts and audiophiles alike, the CM Storm Sirus 5.1 Surround Sound Headset creates an immersive experience with hi-fidelity soundscapes and intense bass.

Sirus produces precise and crisp sounds through its 8 discrete speaker channel pairs. These consist of Front, Rear, Center, and Sub. These deliver accurate and fully adjustable real-time 360 degree audio – made possible by its Tactical Mixing Console. In addition, Sirus is coupled with a uni-directional microphone with background noise cancellation that enables crystal clear conversations with teammates and enemy combatants. This is a premium headset focused on high-end gaming purposes.
